He’s waited 8 years; why spend a lot of money on the 40 series, which has been out for 2 years? The 50 series is introducing neural rendering, which could be the next big thing, along with advanced DLSS and most likely improved frame gen. I’m sure Nvidia will lock a lot of those features to only the 50 series, just like 2 years ago with frame gen.

What! I thought this guy was your typical troll, lol. Honestly, waiting for the 5000 series is crazy. A 3090 is still good enough to handle most of the stuff; a 4090 is more than good, even on a laptop. No need to keep waiting and waiting, especially when you really want something. People in the tech area really need to learn that you can spend money sometimes and not die. It’s not like you’ll never recover it unless you truly are financially unstable and want to purchase something. That is so different.

I mean, if you’re realistic about your expectations, it’ll all be okay. My 1080ti did me proud until a couple of months ago. A 4070ti super will last me the same. It’s ridiculous that people accept this mindset you need the latest and greatest all the time.

Big improvements are coming to the 50 series. If it is, you can get a 4090 for cheaper.

Amazing machine. I’ve been researching for months, and that’s the one I’ve settled on buying. The best screens and the best cooling; the only problem is it’s $4000 CAD. 
I’m going to wait for the 50 series to drop and hopefully get a decent deal on mine. Congrats and enjoy!!

What’s your thoughts on MSI? We only get the mice here, though, but I’ve always been curious about the laptop performance. A lot of people say it overheats fairly quickly, especially the 4080 and 4090 variants.

They are pretty cost-effective, just not popular here in S.A. Let me know once you’re into it, though. I may need to consider something in the low end for the wife. She has a tendency to break things, lol.

Hahaha, this is a Crosshair 16. It has an i7 and a 4070. Not really low end, more of a mid-grade model, I guess.
