Black Friday deals any good?

I have been looking for a Legion with RTX 4070 for around $1000. Black Friday week is here but I don’t see any good deals anywhere. Is this just hype or people actually get something good?

I pulled the trigger on a Legion slim with 8845HS, rtx4070, and the upgraded 500nits screen (all what I was looking for) and 16gb of RAM, and 512 of SSD storage (not ideal, but easy enough to upgrade/expand). I also was willing to buy certified refurbished from the Lenovo outlet store, so mileage will vary. All told $841 before tax seemed worth it to me. There might be the same model new for 1k here soon, I didn’t want to risk not missing out entirely.

I feel ya OP! A few things I’ve found, sign up for Lenovo emails and get $100 off coupon. Sign up for a Lenovo account and that’s $75 off (oh and you can see deals that they say are coming out on 11/28 only). Leave a computer in your cart and they’ll email a minimal coupon. Assuming you can stack them, that adds up. Lastly, there’s Lenovo outlet, but you gotta stay on top of that because an item will show and go in short order. Good luck!

Saw a TUF with a 4070 for 999, legions unfortunately have shown nothing yet though.

Lenovo had a banner on their site saying most their Black Friday stuff was coming on the 28th.

Black Friday has no deals except on things no one wants. It’s nothing but a marketing hype and had been for many years. Black Friday used to be only on a Black Friday but now we have month-long “Black Friday” deals. These deals are nothing more than the same regular discounts from the year or not even that. Prime Day as well but they mark up the regular price to make it look like you’re getting a deal.
