$600 for OLED is a steal

Yeah honestly at my price range I wasn’t expecting anything more then a 1080p IPS and I woulda been cool with that. Not only is it OLED, but it’s 1800p on a 14 inch screen. And supports HDR. Cant wait to see what my games look like.

@Dru
just dont expect to play games in 1800p with that 4060 at all. Even dlss cannot fix that mismatch. Also 1800p on 14 inch is just higher than you can even see, probably. Still a great deal tho, even without warranty i guess

@Zen
Oh yeah. It’s absolutely overkill, especially on a smaller laptop like this. But hey, still nice to have! I’m more excited for these deep ass blacks of the OLED though! My first OLED laptop.

yes, oled looks awesome. switched to micro oled glasses but its basically the same. Just remember to hide that taskbar and change your background every so often…

@Zen
Wouldnt performance mode be upscaling from 900p to 1800p? That would be pretty much doable, even more considering it’s a 14 inch screen. Of course that won’t be as good as native, but DLSS should be plenty.

Probably was stolen

Nvidia RTX + Two AMD stickers, Ryzen and Radeon, really is something else. People would say that would be impossible 5 years ago, let alone in a laptop.

Imagine if Intel comes out with laptop models for their Arc series and we get “Intel ARC + AMD Ryzen + AMD Radeon” stickers.

@River
Or they can disable the AMD Radeon leaving pure Ryzen CPU with Intel Arc GPU, did they not do something like Intel CPU with AMD Graphics already?

No real reason to leave the dedicated GPU on at all times because laptops have tighter power and thermal headroom. On desktops you can disable the iGPU just fine, though. I’m also pretty sure it’s not even possible with the way laptop motherboards are designed, since they need to generate the regular video, basically the dGPU needs to wait for the iGPU first. We also have MUX Switches and such for years to get around that, though if you plug your laptop in an external monitor/TV and turn off you laptop’s screen you’ll also get around that, with some 5-10% performance boost.

@River
Of course, but that gpu actually was really efficent because was a powerful iGPU from AMD
Which was kinda inherent about it, still it was an iGPU but capable of competing with entry level nvidia gpus

Congratulations, man! That laptop is siiick

So far, so good. Downloading FF16 now cuz I absolutely have to beat it! Can’t wait to see how she runs and looks on this thing.

@Dru
Would love to hear how your games are playing on it. Especially FF16!

Well I’m downloading GOW Ragnarok currently. FF16 ran great. Fully maxed it out. DLSS set to DLAA. Had to drop the resolution though. That 1800p was right at 30fps lol. Dropped it 1200p for a steady 60+. Very pleased.

$600 for almost the whole world is crazy, congratz!

The laptop is truly sick for that price though, gz!

Especially on these trading apps man. Some people would rather just have the cash. Either they really need money or the laptop isn’t getting any use anyways. Just gotta have some patience and know what to look for cuz there’s also so many scammers lol.
