Excited about my first gaming laptop!

Just upgraded from a PS3 and an old ThinkPad—ready for a whole new gaming experience!

Coming from a PS3 which I used for a loooong time. The laptop I used was a ThinkPad which is great for its purpose but definitely not for gaming.

Wow, that’s a big upgrade! What games are you planning to dive into first?

@Mai
I’m not sure where to start! Definitely God of War, Cyberpunk, Assassin’s Creed, and Call of Duty. Any other suggestions?

Definitely try Subnautica. It’s a whole other world in there!

Are you planning to get a PS5 too?

That’s awesome, I’m jealous!

You can have my old PS3 for free if you want it!

I love the numpad and the big arrow keys on it. My laptop doesn’t have those.

Absolutely, that’s one of the reasons I chose this one over the Rog Strix G16, despite it being cheaper.

I really miss having a numpad. It’s not just for numbers but for all the Unicode stuff I’ve memorized too.

@Xian
Good point. I’m actually considering returning my Blade 16 for the Eluktronics HYDROC-16. It seems like it has everything I want.

I wouldn’t focus too much on the numpad, performance is what really matters for gaming.

Congratulations!

Thanks! Nice username, by the way.

Congrats! Make sure to uninstall any bloatware that came with it—you don’t need those slowing you down.

Mainly the pre-installed antivirus programs.

I’ve already run a debloat script by Atlas OS, so it’s all clean now. Feels great!
