I got MSI Thin 15 yesterday… it lasts for about 2 hours even without gaming… What about yours?
I get 8 hours on my Victus, but I’m seeing HWInfo saying I can get up to 9 hours.

What? 8 hours? How’s that possible? Mine hardly lasts 3 hours. Which model do you have?

HP Victus 15.6 2000nr. Use HWInfo to optimize your battery and create the best battery-saving power plan. If you’re between 20-10 watts of power, then it can last the 8 hours. Also, use Omen Hub to switch it into Eco mode and turn on battery saving.
@Sage
Whoa… Thanks a lot! Learned something useful today. If I do that, I may not have to carry my charger to college.
Do you do all those steps every time you’re going out or on battery? I got most of the steps, but using HWInfo to create a power plan and regulate CPU usage is a bit complex for me.
@Cleo
Which part is complex? Finding the path to change the registry, or that no change is happening? In some models, you have to use ‘2’ instead of ‘0’, like mine.

Steps 7 & 9 in the Reddit post about Victus battery optimization are confusing, especially the parts about creating a power plan in HWInfo.
What settings should I tweak for tasks like VS Code and YouTube? How much time could I get if I do what you did with yours?
Do you have any YouTube videos that explain how to create a power plan using that software?

@Sage
I do get 2 hours max when gaming though.
@Sage
Thanks! Mine is MSI, and it lasts for about 2 to 3 hours for regular tasks… I turned on power saver and disabled Nvidia too, but still .
I got an Asus TUF the other week, and it lasts all day when I’m just surfing the web. Yesterday, I was gaming without it plugged in, and it lasted about 3 hours.

Wow!
ASUS ROG Strix G15 - I get around 1.5 to 2 hours when gaming, and about 6 hours for regular tasks (I keep it in Smart mode, so it only uses the dGPU when needed and enable battery saver as required). I mostly keep it plugged in for gaming.
@Jem
Noted, bro! Doing the same.
