I recommend benchmarking it, though. I have the 18" Predator Helios 4080, and when I ran Time Spy, it underperformed by about a third compared to other laptops with similar specs.

Unfortunately, no, that’s not a great laptop.
Those Acer models limit the GPU to around 130W (compared to 175W from other brands) and the CPU to about 35W (whereas others average around 65W, with some going up to 125W) during combined CPU and GPU loads.
Basically, while the specs look good on paper, the actual performance will be much lower than other laptops with similar specs. It might not be as bad graphically as a 4070 laptop, but CPU performance will likely struggle to maintain high FPS in even moderately demanding titles, and there’s no way to fix this.
It would have been a good deal if hardware specs were all that mattered, but sadly, they’re not.
