I spent weeks looking for a decent gaming laptop

I spent weeks killing myself trying to find a good dev/gaming laptop with a maximum of a 4080 GPU, but my wife, tired of my frustration, surprised me with one (128GB RAM version).

I LOVE MY WIFE.

But the question is… can it run City Skylines 2 with more than 12fps???

Nah. It will do 11fps at best

I know this is a joke but it worries me considering I just bought a gaming laptop specifically because I love the game

@Terry
Don’t worry, there are many guides to tweak the settings for a nice experience :slight_smile:

Enjoy your new laptop mate. Your wife is a keeper.

W Wife

Can it run Doom?

Any chance your wife’s single?

W deal, I’m jealous now. Enjoy your beast. Keep us updated on the thermals.

I’m interested to see how hot a 4090 laptop gets

120 Hz screen?!

Maybe it’s kind of like OLED where 120 Hz gives 15 times faster response than IPS panel

its mini LED isn’t mini LED different than OLED

@Clay

i’m just guessing because I don’t think they would pair up a shitty screen with 4090

@Wilder
You’re right, they really didn’t. It’s the same beautiful screen that’s in the Titan 18 hx. Jarrod covered it in his video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1VeFfm-tTg&t=1168s

It’s definitely not for everyone, if you’re really into your online shooters the 120 Hz is probably a deal breaker. Though if you’re like me and want to just play Space Marine 2 and similar games on a beautiful 4k mini LED screen at 100+ FPS, then it’s perfect.

@Wilder
It’s MSI. You would be surprised

At that price, the company doesn’t really matter. It’s just the reliability and cheaper.
