Is it safe to use a laptop for several hours each day?

I have a Lenovo Legion Slim 5 and am new to computers, so I’m not sure how much use is safe. I am currently playing cyberpunk for approximately 6 to 8 hours (I am on vacation), playing for 2-3 hours and then resting for the same amount of time. My CPU temperatures range from 50 to 60 degrees Celsius. Is it going to last less because of it, and what is the recommended limit?

I’ve kept my laptop running 24/7 unless there is Windows Update and when I’m gaming the CPU reaches 95C. I’ve been using it like this for almost 4 years…Don’t worry

Laptops are designed to handle high heat and be on for a continuous amounts of time so yes it’s safe

It’s a laptop, not a bomb.

The new Intel and amd cpus are kinda designed to run at near 100 without melting so if you’re nowhere near that you’re fine. You’re aware of cooling so keep your temps on screen and as long as you’re not in the 90s for hours a day (technically in spec mind you) you’re absolutely fine. If you’re really worried you can set a custom fan curve once the temps hit a certain range but if you’re running cyberpunk and not hitting 70 you’ve no need to bother, nice one mate

I buy computers, of any kind, in order to use them. I heavily used Netbooks, Macbooks, PC laptops. So yes, use your laptop, keep it on, don’t worry. It will not last forever but if you worry too much, you miss out on the fun.
