For context I have a 4 year old hp pavilion that is dying on me so this would be a major upgrade.
I don’t know a lot about computers but a 4050 at this price range seems like a great deal, any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated, thanks

Best buy was selling the 80xxs and CPU and 4070 for 899.99
Try for that one first. Much better gaming. Little weaker CPU (very little difference)
Someone posted a Victus on sale with the 4070 and AMD R7 8-something for that price in USD, closed box @ Best Buy, iirc. Been a few days.
I actually just got an LOQ as my first gaming laptop. You’ll probably find the biggest advantage of the Victus to be battery life, but I recommend looking at both of them in person. I like the ergonomics of the LOQ more and think it’s a better/more professional-looking laptop. I wanted a general purpose computer that was mobile and didn’t look like it belonged in a neckbeard nest.
This is totally a bad deal
The 4050 is underwhelming go for a 4060 or 4070 if you can wait for black friday sales you might grab one for about what you are paying for that victus.
