To beat PS5 you probably want a 4060 at least. My 4070 looks better than PS5 by far.

You’re overpaying a LOT, I thought about buying a laptop with the same specs (other than it had 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM) for half that price

For that price, no. Assuming you are American, you can get something better for that price or something similar much cheaper. Even if you aren’t American, you most likely will find something much cheaper.
For $1300, get yourself at least a 4060. 4000 GPUs are very power-efficient and have DLSS frame generation as well (which can give you additional FPS and it does not look bad in any way, unlike what most haters say).
