I actually did a complete reinstall of Windows to avoid extra bloat. If you have the time, I’d recommend this every time.

Planning on doing a clean install myself. Will this also remove all of the NVIDIA and Dolby programs? Or is there a way to reset it to its original state after purchase?

Uninstall Windows, use FreeDos.

Agreed. I want a gaming laptop, but I also bring my computer to work, and I don’t want some RGB monstrosity. I want it to still look professional.

Yeah, Lenovo needs to get on board with a full aluminum chassis and symmetrical design.
Where did you get the replacement keycaps that let F1 through F12 actually shine through? I can’t find them on AliExpress. Can you give me a better search term than Scar18 keycaps?
Edit: I think I figured it out? Are you using keycaps from a TUF model with the clear WASD keycaps? The F keys look identical to me.

I ordered one for about $16. I’m not sure if I will use it. I had a TUF laptop before getting the Scar 18 and didn’t like the lighted border around each key. However, I want to see the F row. It’s a conundrum. I figured, 16 bucks and I can decide when it gets here.
