Wow, the deals in the US are really great!
I know my setup isn’t perfect, but I couldn’t wait to share! I felt super lucky yesterday when I found this incredible deal on the Scar 18. I visited Best Buy hoping to finally buy a gaming laptop after using a Surface Pro 7 for so long. The Surface just couldn’t keep up with my photo and video editing needs, plus the games I wanted to play.
I was set on the Scar 18, but there were no new ones in stock. Thankfully, an awesome employee kept looking and found an open box unit marked as ‘fair.’ I was a bit unsure at first since I didn’t want a used device, but upon checking it, it seemed almost brand new!
The employee told me it was a display model that was just put back on the shelf. I’ve had it for a day now, and I’m thrilled to report that it’s working perfectly. Even the battery life is still impressive.
I can’t wait to set up my desk to make everything look nicer!

I got it from Best Buy! I was really lucky that the open box unit looked nearly untouched except for a few smudges.

It’s common for stores to clear out display models to make space for new arrivals. Just keep in mind, display models can be a gamble since you don’t know how they’ve been treated while on display.
But it’s great that the person who posted this gets to enjoy it now! I hope there are no problems down the line.

Yeah, unless it was left on for a lot of hours, I doubt it was heavily used.
What’s under the laptop? Is it a cooling pad?

Nope, the foam pads are thick enough to support the laptop’s weight without any issues.
What a fantastic deal, I’m so jealous! Enjoy it! 
I just wish they’d bring back the 17-inch Zephyrus model.
That’s not the Scar 18, it’s actually the Strix G18. Still a nice price!
