Looking for a Quality Laptop Cooler ... Any Suggestions?

I’ve heard that cheaper coolers don’t perform well, so I’m in search of a good laptop cooler that’s worth the investment. I found one listed for 147 euros. Is it a good buy or is there something better for the price?

I personally prefer the Llano v13 model.

Is that the same one shown in the picture?

The one in your picture is the v10 model, which is slightly older. The v12 and v13 are similar, with the main difference being that the v13 does not have RGB lighting.

Have you ever used the v12? I’m curious about the difference. It seems like the main change is just the RGB lights.

Yes, that’s correct. The v13 model does not have RGB lighting, which is the only difference.

It’s definitely not the same, but Llano coolers are great. My v12 model reduced my GPU and CPU temperatures by about 15°C.

@Andi
I just bought it and it’s excellent. It reduced the temperature of my ThinkPad by about 15-20°C, which is significantly better than the 5°C drop I got from cheaper models. It’s pretty loud at maximum settings, sounding like a jet engine, but at 700 RPM it’s much more bearable.

@Reese
Totally agree with you there!

@Andi
Yes, it works very well. I’m using the iets gt500 model and it’s effective.

The Flydigi BS-1 is just as effective as the Ilano/IETS models but it’s quieter.

I can vouch for that. I sold my IETS GT600 and got a BS1 instead.

I’ve tried the Llano models and found them too loud. If you’re looking for something quieter, the Flydigi is a better choice. Plus, if it’s a cooler whose fan needs a separate power source, it’s likely to be louder.

Yes, it’s a very good choice.

I’d recommend the Flydigi BS-1 over that one.

It’s either Llano, IETS, or don’t bother at all. Alternatively, you could just use a stand to elevate the laptop for better airflow.

I disagree, there are more cooling options available these days that are just as effective if they have a proper sealing mechanism.

Both brands seem to have taken inspiration from Razer’s designs.

@Chen
Actually, I think it might be the other way around.

You might also like the Klim Everest. It’s a nice option too.
