All gaming laptops have bad battery life. Stick to the Legion as it’s reliable at least.

Thank you. I didn’t know that Alienwares were unreliable. I just knew Alienwares were premium laptops and didn’t know much about Legions. Thanks again.

They are reliable. Dell just asks too much for them, though. They are good machines in my opinion.

I have a few friends who have had Alienwares in the past and they all broke one way or another prematurely. Sure, it’s anecdotal but no other brand has been like this.

I have friends with Nitros. I have never seen a shoddier laptop than that. Literally the worst laptops that I have ever used.

Currently, I run a 3060 Katana. The screen is scratched from a keyboard bump and the cooling is not acceptable. My wife has a 3050 Nitro - it’s cheap, heavy, and it doesn’t cook its CPU. I understand that both are low-end options, but the latter is anecdotally leagues above the former exactly where it matters.
I wouldn’t swap an Alienware for a Legion unless it was overwhelmingly better. That’s a side grade.

Thank you. Even though I made my decision to stick to the Legion, can I know why the Legion is better than the Alienware M16 R2? I saw a lot of YouTube titles saying that Alienware is the best laptop of the year. Why so much hype around Alienware? Just curious.

Which YouTube videos were they? I really only trust @jarrodstech for laptop reviews. There’s not a lot of objective testing. Alienware are Dell, they have the same issues Dells do but in a prettier package. For the record, my work laptop is a Dell, my previous one was a Lenovo and I liked it much more.
