Wait. I got mine for $1299 USD a couple months ago, and it was on sale for $1149 before that. Black Friday could bring it down again.

Possibly. Got a refurbished one with the 7745HX. I’ll see if Black Friday brings more discounts.

Black Friday is just another marketing gimmick, like Prime Day.

Is there really that much the 50 series will offer over the 40 series? A 4090 should last a good while.

I doubt the 5080 will outperform the 4090 significantly. If it’s affordable, I’d go for the 4090. The only downside might be the CPU if it’s Intel.

How does this compare to the Acer Predator Helios PH315-55 with i7 12700H and RTX 3070 Ti? Especially in gaming benchmarks.

The CPU will be weaker, but the GPUs are about the same in performance.
