Yea I need to get some

8.5/10.

Not a fan of the stickers on the right side of the keyboard deck of your laptop.

I bought a 27 inch 144fps monitor for €130 (Samsung Odyssey G3 LS27). It’s Full HD tho, but you also have a 1440p version. I prefer the Full HD because I game using my laptop! And some amazing speakers with RGB for €70 (Edifier G2000).

Bro… at 27 inch screen, 1440P blows 1080P out of the water

I’ll look into maybe buying another screen. My own laptop screen is 17 inches and has a 1440p screen LOL.
HP Omen17, 32GB RAM, 2TB, GTX 4070 mobile 8GB VRAM, i7 13700HX. I’ll try gaming on the laptop first to see how many frames it drops.

@Roux
Your laptop will handle most games in 1440P like nothing. 90+ FPS. I promise, we have the almost same specs, although your laptop is the better quality. I like the 1440P Omen screen, I recently upgraded to 1440P, and even at 16.1" the difference from stock 1080P is like… holy cow.

@Jordan
Hmm, okay, I’ll test it out just to see how much of a difference it makes in FPS. And yes, 1440p has 78% more pixels than 1080p.

Yes, 78% more pixels, but the FPS drop is not linear, it’s not 78% more pixels = 78% less FPS. I think it’s roughly 30-40% FPS loss. And IMO, this is more than fine when the 4070 can run 150+ FPS.

I genuinely can’t tell the difference past 100FPS. Maybe my sight isn’t great, idk. But I do have OCD and really, really hate frame lag/stutters.

@Jordan
Thanks for the info, I’ll check it out as long as I don’t have sudden frame drops, it’s fine with 100 fps.

It looks amazing at 1920x1080, to be honest, and it saves some processing power for my laptop. I am used to playing in Full HD on a 70-inch screen, so a 27-inch is still really good-looking. Idk I prefer higher framerate while gaming through my laptop.

@Roux
To each their own, I am not here to bash on you in any way… but if you’ve experienced it, you’ll know what I mean. It’s night and day. And my eyesight isn’t even that great.

I like the setup, but I would go for a bigger desk, but that’s just me. 7/10.
