Which one is better? Predator or Legion?

As seen in the image, I’m comparing two laptops. The Predator has 8GB of RAM, but I have an additional 8GB from a friend that I plan to install right away. FYI, the Legion is more expensive than the Predator. Which one would you recommend?

I’m leaning towards the Helios Neo in this comparison. Although it starts with 8GB RAM, you’ve got that covered. It also offers a brighter display with significantly higher pixel density and a 16:10 aspect ratio, which are great for productivity and multimedia.

And it’s 1600p instead of 1080p, which is a major upgrade in terms of resolution.

Exactly, the higher resolution will provide a sharper image, which is quite noticeable even at normal viewing distances. Thanks for pointing that out!

The Helios has a superior screen and offers two user-upgradable RAM slots, one of which is free for expansion. This flexibility can be a big advantage.

I’d probably go with the Predator. The performance and build quality are on par with competitors, but it also features a better screen and a full metal chassis.

Just to clarify, the Helios Neo has a metal lid and the Helios has a full metal body with a plastic bottom.

A few years ago, only a few brands like Asus and Lenovo were known for decent gaming laptops. It’s great to see Acer stepping up with competitive options like the Predator.

Considering the upgrades and screen quality, the Predator seems like the better option here.

I’d lean towards the Predator primarily because the Legion’s screen brightness is too low for my liking.

As someone who has used both Predator and Lenovo, I would choose the Predator. Ultimately, it’s your choice, but that’s my preference.

I have the Predator 14700hx 4060 version, and its build quality is definitely better than the current gen Legion 5i, though not as good as the 5 Pro. It’s heavier but reliable, and the cooling is superior to the new Legions.

Predator

I usually prefer Lenovo over Acer.

I’m also a fan of Lenovo. They’ve really stepped up their game in the laptop market recently, offering great customer service and reliable products.

Acer laptops aren’t undervoltable, which is a major downside for me. Lenovo offers more flexibility with their laptops, making them a better choice even if they’re a bit more expensive.

Despite being a fan of Lenovo, I think the Helios is a better option in this scenario.

I just got a Predator Helios and I’m loving it so far. I’d definitely recommend it based on my experience.

Just FYI, compared to something like the Ally X, every gaming laptop seems unimpressive. Think about the weight, battery life, and mobility as well.
