Which one should I choose, guys?

Opt for the Predator. While you might think the 3070 surpasses the 4060, they perform similarly in laptops. The 3070 is slightly faster, but the 4060 offers newer architecture and DLSS 3.

If it were the 4060ti, I’d fully agree, but in this case, the Legion might be a better choice due to its build quality and display, plus the 3070 performs slightly better than the 4060.

@Jesse
You’re focusing too much on the GPU. The 14700hx CPU is far superior to the 6800, and in my opinion, both have comparable build quality.

The MSI reportedly has subpar build quality, so I’d avoid it. It really depends on whether you play CPU-intensive or GPU-intensive games. The RTX 3070 outperforms the RTX 4060 by about 10%, but the Ryzen 7 6800H falls short compared to the i7 1400hx. I’d lean towards the Acer for CPU-heavy games, although the Lenovo offers better battery life.

@Reagan
I own an MSI Stealth and can vouch for its quality. However, I’d still choose the Lenovo because the performance difference at this level is minimal, so you might as well save some money and go with the 3070 Lenovo.

@Amari
The MSI ‘ai’ series is decent, but their ‘Katana/Sword’ and ‘Thin’ series are not great. I have the Katana GF66-11UE, and it has serious cooling issues, running hot even on idle.

Choose between the Legion 5i for Rs 1.35 lakhs or the Predator for Rs 1.2 lakhs. The Legion offers better overall quality but the Predator excels in gaming and provides better value for money. The picture you posted is of the older Legion model.

@Kai
But isn’t the Legion the high-end 5 Pro model with a full aluminum build?

I’m pretty sure it’s plastic, as even the new 5 Pro is made of plastic.

The older model actually uses a mix of aluminum and magnesium, unlike the newer generation which has shifted towards more performance-focused materials.

I’d actually recommend the 4070 if it were an option.

That would leave you dealing with high idle CPU temperatures, not ideal.

Definitely not MSI due to their unreliable build quality and fewer service centers compared to Lenovo.

Go for the Acer and consider upgrading the RAM if needed.

My personal preference would be the Legion.

I’d rank them MSI, Acer, then Lenovo based on what I’ve heard about MSI’s quality issues, Acer’s cooling problems, and Lenovo’s mixed reviews on newer models.

I’d recommend the Acer, but stay away from any MSI laptop priced below Rs 1.5 lakhs.

Go for the Acer Predator.

Avoid MSI. I’d suggest the Lenovo Legion, which offers excellent build quality and service. The RTX 3070 it comes with is superior to the 4060, and although you’ll miss some newer features, it’s still a solid choice.
