Thinking about pulling the trigger, but would love some reasons to hold off!
Probably because it was $1099 just a couple weeks ago.
Honestly, I think it’s good.
Not bad! Just remember that pre-installed Windows, GPU, and Thunderbolt make laptops more expensive.
I keep hearing about bad hinges on these. My HP laptop is over 4 years old now and still no hinge issues—though it’s not a gaming laptop.

Same here! My HP Envy has lasted me 4 years and even survived a drop on concrete with only a scuff. Hinges are still perfect.
HP is known for poor-quality hinges, so there’s that. But other than that, it’s a solid deal.
Where did you find this? What site?

Found it on Micro Center.
Is this in the US or CAD?

It’s in the US.
Looks like a good deal to me. Most 4070 laptops with discounts come with 13th gen or older processors.
Price-to-performance is great! The screen, hinges, and build aren’t amazing but acceptable.
That’s a steal, bro.
Wait, is that USD or CAD? If it’s USD, it’s average; in CAD, it’s a really good deal. For deals, check out gaminglaptopdeals.com via Jarrod’s Tech’s YouTube channel. Great for finding deals!

Is that link for Canada or US?
Black Friday is just a few weeks away. Waiting might be worth it if you’re in the US.
You could get a MacBook Pro for the same price (just kidding). I’m not big on laptops, but considering that price is close to the GPU I bought years ago, I’d say go for it.
If you’re willing to spend that much, maybe wait for Black Friday.
Honestly, that’s a great deal—buy it!
