I found this amusing and just had to share.
This is way funnier than I expected!
I’ve been helping people here even though I’ve never owned any powerful gaming devices myself, just a phone and a Nintendo Switch for a few months.

Same here, I’ve never had a device powerful enough for serious gaming, but I’m aiming to get a gaming laptop. I know a lot about them and helping people here has been really fun and a great way to apply what I know.
@Sawyer
I’ve been looking for a laptop to buy for a while now, especially since I’ll be traveling outside the US. With a budget of $850, can you recommend something? I’d really appreciate your advice.

With that budget, you might consider a Lenovo LOQ with an Intel i5 and an RTX 4050. It’s a bit cheaper than $850. The ASUS TUF is another good option with similar specs, although it might not be as travel-friendly due to its bulk.
@Sawyer
Why wouldn’t they let you on a plane with the TUF?

It’s a joke because of its bulky and rugged design—it looks like it could be something else entirely!

Oh, got it! I’m new to this forum and didn’t catch the joke at first. Thought there was an actual reason.

Sometimes you can find laptops with a 4070 on eBay, especially refurbished ones with good warranties. Right now, there’s an Acer 4080 on there with a 2-year warranty for $1500.

You can often find good deals on marketplace sites like Amazon or eBay, where you might get a 4060, 3070, or even a 4070 for under $1000.
@Vince
Is this Lenovo deal too good to be true, or what do you think?

It’s a good deal, I’d say.

I bought a similar model but the Predator Helios version. It’s great for the price!

The HP Victus with a 4070 is selling for $850 right now, probably the best deal you’ll find. Though it might be sold out at places like Best Buy.
@Gentry
I hesitated because of mixed reviews here and missed out when they sold out.

It might be worth waiting to see if any new models are released soon, perhaps at CES.

take a look at amazon
@Shai
I guess patience is key. I can’t really stretch my budget over $1000, so I’ll keep an eye out for deals.
