I have an Asus ROG Flow X16 with an RX 6900HS and an RTX 3070Ti. What can I do to squeeze a few more hours of battery life? (I checked the battery life while watching YouTube)
Honestly, you probably can’t get much more.

Are you using hybrid mode? Make sure that no apps are utilizing the dedicated GPU.

Yes, the dedicated GPU is completely off.
Try disabling the NVIDIA display container LS in services. This change doubled my battery life.

What does that do?
Check your power consumption while in battery mode. It should be under 10W.
3.5 hours is actually more battery life than I’ve ever achieved, even after undervolting.
Mine gives me a maximum of 1 hour backup.
To get the best battery life, I suggest using G-helper and doing the following:
-
Turn off your dedicated GPU as it uses the most power; G-helper calls this ECO Mode.
-
Reduce your CPU power using the sliders; I recommend setting it to 10W or less. Just be aware of how slow your laptop can handle.
-
Lower your screen brightness to a comfortable level.
-
Reduce the keyboard lighting time and brightness.
-
Disable Bluetooth and Wi-Fi if you’re not using them.
-
Consider using a high wattage power bank to help the battery last longer.
Doing a clean install of Windows can give you an extra hour compared to the OEM version. A reset isn’t enough; you need to remove all the bloatware.
Then, tweak settings like power saver mode and disable startup apps.

I know this might sound silly, but do you guys keep your laptops plugged in all the time on your desk? Or do you unplug them when they’re fully charged and let them run down?
Is that an Intel processor?
Most gaming laptops only last 2 to 4 hours on battery. Some models, like the Zephyrus, can get up to 10 hours. I’m not sure why.
With most models, you can lower the power consumption, but it requires software; for your laptop, Armoury Crate should have what you need.
I can help you cut down at least 30 minutes or more, but don’t expect miracles.
