capeche. I’ve never had any issues with any not American namebrand approved laptops. Nor do I ever need to call tech support. I’ll explain my suggestion in detail. 17" IPS display. If you’re studying to write code, a 14-15" is better? Fuck no. You stare at an IDE for several hours coding, your eyes will appreciate an IPS over non. Yeah celerons are 1 step above an Atom. You’ll agree that you can’t game on it. WHICH IS THE 2ND REASON WHY I SUGGESTED IT. All it’s good for is schoolwork. Cheap, great for grandma’s budget. Sure, you can get a beefier CPU, you’re going to get a smaller display at that price point. I don’t give a shit about Dell or Lenovo. Use both at work. Not impressed. If anyone likes’m - yippy, good on you. Did I ever say this is the best laptop in the world. Fuck no. Based on the scenario, some kid told his grandma he needs a high end gaming laptop with a 4080 or 90, forget what the post listed, for school. Based on that bullshit he fed his poor gramma, this is the laptop he should get.
@Teagan
Sorry but no celeron is going to be good for coding, if you get a laptop for coding there is no way a celeron could process jackshit. But I do agree that a kid deserves a laptop like that, but I would go one step down and instead of getting an expensive crappy laptop I would get a cheap crappy laptop. Also the one i sent is IPS, and most IDEs allow for higher text size, which for 15 inches at 1080p you really should be fine. Its the case where most people would much prefer that processing power for schoolwork. Also you say that you have never had a problem with a namebrand, so I would assume that could also correlate to it being better built. But yeah a little shit like that shouldn’t get better than a celeron
@Ollie
arguably you can code with an Atom. I’m not going to argue the point. your opinion, your pref, I get it. Myself, I can’t stand any laptop display below 16". Best display was on this old Toshiba Qosmio. OLD. First gen i7. 20" display! Got it off of eBay to putz around with. All laptops need a 20" option. I’ve seen MSI and Asus gaming laptops with a 14" display. GAWD, I HATE reading email on a 14" screen, how in the eff can someone game on that!?! Anyhow. Good chat, I’m not going to post any more replies on this thread. The board is for gaming laptops. We’re talking shit laptops over here. Cheers!
@Teagan
Cheers
Fuck I wish my gran brought me this. Oh she’s dead.
Just because some asshole does this, doesn’t mean anyone in his right mind would do this or pay for it.
Did Danny op delete his post? Because i ma trying to find it and i don’t see it.
The main reason is that I think he is too greedy or eager to get it, when he could roll with a 4060 or 4070, with a good cpu…
