Looks like a promising option for 1440p gaming without breaking the bank. And about the 8GB VRAM… let’s discuss.

@Mal
Pretty confident the 5070 Ti will outperform the 4080M with just a 16% increase in SMs. The real question is if it can match up to the 4090M – it might just be close.

And yes, the extra cost for newer tech makes the 4080M look more appealing.

@Brigham
I’ve added more details in another comment here.

What’s the point if it’s still limited by 8GB of VRAM?

Yet again, still only 8GB of VRAM

Is the RTX 5070 mobile sticking to 8 GB VRAM? Yes, indeed.

With the high launch prices of laptops, and no VRAM increase, many might just stick with the RTX 4060.

It all depends on the pricing, though I’m not too hopeful.

8GB of VRAM just isn’t enough these days :frowning:

Keep in mind this is still a leak or rumor. Make of this post what you will.

It’s likely still 8GB of VRAM

Curious about the pricing for the 5070ti. Rumored improvements are good, but VRAM is crucial in an era where game optimization is lacking at launch.

That’s for desktop versions. Mobile chips have always been less powerful.

@Marin
The 5070ti might still be limited but it’s rumored to be the fourth card in the lineup, possibly with 12GB VRAM.

Exactly, and that’s how they sell the higher-end models like the 5080Ms and 5090Ms.

Waiting for the TDP results…

Leaked info suggests a 115W TDP for the 50/60/70 series.

Yes, obviously. If it maintains the same TDP as the 4060, that’s a huge step forward. Thank you.
