My very first time upgrading from GTX to RTX laptop for around $1000 after upgrading parts

Upgrade to the same laptop rly nice
Learn the hardway that hdmi capped me at 120hz
To use full potential of my external monitor i had to use the mini display port

Glad to hear that you’ve upgraded the same laptop as me !Can you please tell me in details about the mini display port?I haven’t heard of that and I’m about to use with 4k tv too so I think I might need to know that.

My laptop came with hdmi 2 instead of 2.1 which at 1080p i couldnt go Higher than 120hz but my mini display port had a more modern version that can handle higher Hz’s
Just try and see if the max frequency (Hz) you can set on Windows is the same as the max of the tv

Twin :handshake:. I bought the one I mentioned in my post on this sub which is the 2023 version with an i5 instead against half the replies’ wishes and I unironically couldn’t be happier with my purchase. It made a significant improvement in performance and what I could finally play and the fact I can just take it with me anywhere is awesome. Hope you enjoy it as much as Im enjoying mine!!

I got the IETS600. Will say I had a quality issue with my USB hub not working but my CPU is no longer terminally in the 90°s

Because of my budget, I want the laptop with rtx4060 in $1000 so I bought this one while other brands only offer 4050 ones and this laptop performs pretty good for me.
