Should I have a gaming laptop if building a PC is too much for me?

Hello, I know this sounds strange, but I don’t know much about hardware and whatnot, and most PC building tutorials leave some information for builders like me to find out on our own.

Too many cables overwhelm me, and I’m frightened about making a mistake.

It does not have to be a laptop; pre-built computers are also an option. Get what works best for you.

Building a PC is not too difficult for you. You are just worried about the unknown.

You can do it. That is a statement of fact.

PC construction is similar to costly Legos for adults (or teenagers).

I’ve seen some great deals on pre built PCs lately that sport impressive specs. If you don’t need something smaller and mobile you should consider a PC.

Unless you have a use case of bringing your laptop around with you (either on holiday or merely over to a friend’s house to game), I believe a desktop will be superior in the long term.

I felt the same way about building a PC and grabbed a laptop, but I carried it everywhere until I stopped and got my desktop from a local system integrator (I didn’t have to build anything, I only needed to enable xmp).

Now that my laptop is no longer my primary computer, I have it with me all the time. The desktop made me appreciate my laptop, and vice versa. I suppose it simply depends how long you plan to keep it and how much performance you need. My laptop which could run everything at 1080p 60 ultra when new in 2019, can barely handle some modern games so keep that in mind
