Which one is better ?! .. (MSI is cheaper by 150$)

I’ve had both laptops (albeit the MSI was the 17.3" model) and the Legion (current laptop) is miles better.

Go with the Legion without thinking twice.

Get the Legion. Great build quality, awesome screen, and great thermals. The fact that MSI does such a shoddy job with their budget models turns me off to the brand altogether. Also, I love my Legion Pro 7i.

Brother, 150 bucks is nothing. Just get the Lenovo.

I have the same MSI model, and it works perfectly with no quality issues for me.

I’m going to join others here. The MSI’s build quality probably isn’t as good as the Lenovo’s. For $150 USD more, get the Legion Pro 7i. The screen is probably better too. You will not regret it one bit.

Don’t get MSI. Get Lenovo.

As with most laptop brands, the higher-end stuff tends to be solid and the lower-end stuff tends to be garbage, even within the same brand. Mid-range stuff is where it’s a crapshoot. Figure out which one is more high-end within their brand and pick that one. If they’re equal, go with the cheaper option.

Got the Vector 17. It’s a proper powerhouse. The only minus is the noise levels. Apart from that, build quality is solid, new hinges are great, performance is top of the line for the hardware (max wattage), and thermals are great, especially combined with a Llano V10 cooler.

I’d go for MSI if it was noticeably cheaper, like 300 USD. Lenovo is just better overall in case anything goes wrong.

They are both really solid models. You should get the one you like the looks of or if you prefer one brand over the other. This MSI is a really good model, slightly better performance too (really slight). Where Lenovo lacks ever so slightly in performance, it makes up for in build.

Also, the reason people hate on MSI is because of their Katana, Cyborg, GF series, and similarly priced models, which are actually not that good. MSI Crosshair, Alpha, Vector, Titan, Stealth, and Raider are some of the best MSI models out there and really reliable. I’ve personally used the Crosshair, Raider, and Vector, so I know.
