Best office chair for gaming under $1k , is it possible?

NEVER EVER BUY a gaming chair if you are getting into pc gaming. I work from home and am also an avid pc gamer, grabbed a Secretlab XL Gaming chair for 600$ and it’s just awful, back hurts screw it. it fell apart quickly and the neck and lumbar support, they never sit in a way that holds them or me in place. The quality is nowhere near worth the price. Literally useless!

Thinking about getting ‘real’ office chair :confused: It doesn’t need to look fancy, around $500 would be fine. Thanks so much guys

got a gaming chair once, 2 weeks later it became decorative stuff for my cat cause my back couldn’t take it anymore

feel you bro screw it, commercial at its finest. im so upset that my leather started worning out

@Frances
just go get any office chair out there. It’s built for corporate workers who spend 8 hrs a day sitting, i would defo work for you. I tried to buy used Steelcase from a business guy who didn’t want it anymore but it’s quite pricey compared to a new one like ErgoChair Mesh. Dropped my SOL last month and it’s been way better for me, breathable, cheaper deal, i coundn’t be happier

Jesus $600 is stupid. Just get a high quality ergonomic chair with lumbar support, mines lasted me years.

Tbh I don’t think spending lots of money on a chair is a waste assuming you will be using it for multiple hours per day, there is a reason so many people swear by brands like Herman miller despite how much they cost

@Ashton
Well I didn’t mean for every chair, I meant for ‘gaming chairs’, thought it was pretty implied haha

ikr

Might as well buy a gaming rug, gaming gloves, gaming glasses, gaming desk if you’re gonna waste money on a 500 dollar chair

Don’t forget your gaming gear By dust off, the official gaming gear cleaning kit

I hate the term ‘chair for gaming’. That isn’t a thing. There is no chair format that would actively make you better at gaming. Its not like a mouse for example where it has a better sensor etc…

All a chair should do is provide comfort, which the chairs labelled as ‘gaming chairs’ do not.

Get any ergonomic office chair with lumbar support and you will be good.

Look on FB marketplace you might find some deals. I got a Steelcase Leap for a hundo

Get an office chair with lumbar support and provide comfort because gaming chairs do not do that

Herman Miller uses one.

I really enjoy my secret lab chair. For a similar price range you could look at Herman Miller.

Probably unpopular but I work from home and got a razer iskur because it has firm cushioning and lumbar support

But yeah I’d rather have a steelcase gesture or something but $1.4k for a chair is crazy and idk if I really want a used one that’s been collecting untold hours of strangers farts lol but used seems to be the way to go for a steelcase

@Lexi
That’s just the mark of a well-seasoned seat :nerd_face:

Steelcase Amia

My cheap $80 mesh back office chair is the “best” I have ever had. After a couple years it has developed the typical creaking of a cheap chair but it legit fixed my posture and my chronic neck pain is much better.

I have a HÅG Capisco Puls, and while it looks special, I‘ve never once had any back problems with it, even after sitting for 5-6 hours straight. You can sit on it front-and backwards too. Everything is adjustable and comfort is awesome.
